They're beautiful.

 

Here's a great idea for making Christmas-tree ornaments. Buy some lengths of variously shaped molding and dowels at the hardware store.

You don't need very much of it, maybe a foot of several different kinds for starters. When you get home, use white glue to fasten the molding together in various combinations. Use plenty of glue and make secure connections. Let the glued parts dry well. Then take them to an adult friend or shop teacher at school who has a band saw and ask him or her to slice across your piece the way an electric meat slicer would slice across a salami. Each slice should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. If any parts break off, you can glue them back on again.

You can paint the pieces with water-base paint. Hang them with gold string.
