Learning what things are called.

Ask your parents to tell you what things are called. Learn the uses for different sizes of the same thing: different sizes of wooden spoons, different mixing bowls, different-size colanders, and different-size knives. Learn how to use things. Tell your parents you would like to help in the kitchen. Ask them to show you how to do something. Then, try it ... carefully. The more careful and responsible you are, the more they will show you.
