WATERMELON SURPRISE

Watermelon
Fruits for fruit cocktail (apples, peaches, pears, bananas, melons, grapes)
Lemon juice

1. Slice off the top third of a watermelon. This will be the lid. Slice 1/4 inch off the bottom so the watermelon can stand up securely and serve as a bowl.

2. Scoop out the watermelon, discard the seeds, and cut the watermelon into bite-sized pieces.

3. Cut up the other fruits and mix together gently in a big bowl. Sprinkle lemon juice over the mixture so the fruits do not discolor.

4. Tidy up both sections of the watermelon.

5. Fill the watermelon with the fruit-cocktail mixture.

6. Put the lid on the watermelon.

7. Poke or cut holes in the lid for the birthday candles.
