Birthday Parties For Children

TREAT BAG* GAME

Age Level: 3 and up

Number of Players: 2 or more

What is Needed: a treat bag for each child, radio or CD player for music

Type of Game: noncompetitive

Location: inside or outside

HOW TO PLAY

Have the children sit in a circle. Give the birthday child a treat bag to start passing when the music starts. The children keep passing the treat bag until the music stops. Whoever has it them keeps the bag and leaves the circle. Continue until all the children have a treat bag. This is a good game, especially for four-to-six-year-olds, to play at the end of the party, since treat bags are often handed out then. The children can even put on their coats beforehand.

*A treat bag is a lunch bag or other bag filled with goodies, such as a banana, a pencil, a box of raisins, a pack of gum, and a lollipop. Treat bags are often passed out at the end of a party so the children have something to take home.
