Birthday Parties For Children

SPECIAL PROJECTS - SURPRISE BALLS

Before the party, make Surprise Balls for each child. Children love them. To make them: wind a strip of crepe paper around and around a small toy (such as a plastic dinosaur or a tiny doll). Keep winding, placing other small toys and wrapped candies at intervals under the crepe paper. Each ball should contain about ten to twenty things and be about 4 or 5 inches across. Hide the Surprise Balls and have a Surprise Balls Hunt so each child can find and unwrap one. This is a good activity to end a party, and all of the items you might put in a Treat Bag, you can put in a Surprise Ball.
