INSIDE ACTIVITIES, NONCOMPETITIVE

1. After all the children arrive dressed up as their mommies, give them make-up to put on. If you like, do not provide mirrors. Tell them to apply make-up; then, let them look in the mirror. Some will look pretty funny. Later, or whenever you want, help the children remove the make-up with cold cream.

2. Give the children plain paper plates and scraps of ribbons, fabrics, and lace. Tell them to glue these pieces onto the plates to make hats. Tie strings or ribbons to each plate so they can wear them.

3. Have a fashion show. Take pictures or movies.

INSIDE GAMES AND ACTIVIITES, COMPETITIVE

1. Give prizes for the outfit that is the fanciest, the most original, the funniest, the most colorful, and so on.

2. Pin the Hat on the Mommy. Play like Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

OUTSIDE GAME, NONCOMPETITIVE

Cosmetic Hunt. Play like a Candy Hunt. Hide lipstick, mirror, comb, powder puff, and so on. Hide enough items so every child can find one thing. At the end, ask everyone to look for any missing items.

OUTSIDE GAME, COMPETITIVE

Touch and Feel. Hang socks on a clothesline. Put different items in each one, not necessarily cosmetic things (a paper clip, a sea shell, a screw, a mitten clip). Each child gets a turn to feel and guess what is inside. The child who gets the most right answers wins.
