Sleep-Over Party

INSIDE GAMES AND ACTIVITIES, NONCOMPETITIVE

1. Fortune-teller. Have a friend dress as a gypsy and come to the party to tell fortunes. She may ask each child to do something special, such as sing "Jingle Bells," imitate Donald Duck, or stand on his or her head before she will tell the child's fortune.

2. Candy Hunt

3. Seven-Up

INSIDE GAMES, COMPETITIVE

1. Treasure Hunt. Hide the treasure in the house.

2. Dancing games. See Music and Dance Party.

3. Who Am I?

OUTSIDE GAMES TO BE PLAYED IN THE SEMIDARK

1. Ghost in the Graveyard. Everyone hides. The Ghost (It) goes to find the hidden players. The first person the Ghost comes on yells, "Ghost in the graveyard!" All the players then try to run back to base. The Ghost tries to tag them. The first one tagged is the next Ghost.

2. Flashlight Tag. Play like regular tag, but to tag someone, shine a flashlight on him or her.

3. Ghost, Ghost. The person who is It counts, "One o'clock, two o'clock ... twelve o'clock noon! One o'clock, two o'clock ... twelve o'clock, midnight!" as everyone hides. At "Midnight," It goes to find the hidden players. The first one found and tagged becomes the next It. But It continues to try to find and tag everyone before the next It takes over. Players can run back to base to be safe from It if they want.
